Been a long while!!

Ooops, it seems so long ago that I sat and blogged!! Many things have been happening that I really have not had the time to sit and write! But hopefully I can make up for the gap in my creativity and start showing you what I have been up to! I have been designing paper dolly necklaces which have been great fun and so adorable! I pop the images through my laminator which protects them and then they can be worn almost anywhere! They have lots of little changes of clothing and are fun to play with! I am also into wooden brooch pins and these are popular in a local shop in Whitstable - Taking the Plunge, where they sell them! I have just had a set of vintage dolls made into wooden pins and am very excited as they are adorable and so far unique to me!!
I shall put some photos up shortly! Other than that, busy designing my greeting cards with added bottle caps so you have a card and gift in one, being able to wear the bottle cap as a necklace! These are featured in my Etsy and Folksy online shops! And of course busy face painting and nursing (home care in the community) Well us creative lot have to keep our feet on the ground somewhere or we just float about in that fluffy crafting ether and sleep and eat crafts!! Have a fab week y'all x

Yay - it's the weekend!!

Woohoo - it's almost the weekend, one more day!! Have been soooo inspired by all the beautiful artwork out there, painting now seems on the up and up! Must be that it is relaxing and you can let your imagination go wild - all those jazzy colours out there and with spring just around the corner, we are having the most amazing sunsets, all pinks and orange. Mind you, with a view across to Sheppey, we (alledgedly) have one of the most amazing sunsets as it sinks behind the island!!

Wishing y'all a creative weekend!! xx

Shrinky dink is the new *in* thing dontcha know!!

I LOVE shrink plastic....love love LOVE it!! I mean it's been around for years in various forms, remember blowing up the oven with all those crisp bags that you would place in and try and shrinkle down for fun?? As long as you had eaten the crisps first, although I did have a friend that put a whole bag in that was unopened.....scared the living daylights out of her family who had to evacuate the house as they thought someone had let off a firework in the kitchen!! These days it's much easier to shrinky dink the stuff as you can buy it in packs and then play to your hearts content!! Whether you hand stamp onto it, draw free hand or trace an image (easier with the clear or frosted!) or put it through your ink jet printer - you can buy printer friendly shrink plastic, link here:

So enjoy if you play and I hope you enjoy looking at my little creations :o) x

A selection of bottlecaps - too much beer - hic!

Heehee, why is it folk ask how much beer you have had to drink to end up with oodles of bottlecaps?? Now do I look like a seasoned ale drinker?? I have tried the odd sip or two, but most of it tastes like an elastic band for my liking, and as much as it is well loved in this neck of the woods (Kent being well reknowned for it's hops and ale making), I would rather quaff back a pint of cider, be it english or french cidre!!
